The History of the AUG | Radiation Hazard in CS2 (CS:GO)

The AUG | Radiation Hazard in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the Valve design team and introduced to the game on November 27, 2013, as part of the Nuke Collection during Operation Phoenix. With its distinctive red-orange base and bold nuclear hazard symbols, the skin quickly captured the attention of players and collectors. The skin began to gain widespread attention during key CS:GO Majors, where it was occasionally featured by professional players on the classic Nuke map, aligning perfectly with the map's own hazardous theme. Throughout its existence, the CS:GO community has shown periodic spikes in excitement for the skin, particularly during the popularity peaks of Operation cases and map-specific challenges. As the series transitioned to CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Radiation Hazard has retained its appeal, benefiting from updated graphics and a faithful recreation of the original style. Its classic, radioactive aesthetic and long-standing connection to the Nuke map solidify its place as both a collector's favorite and a memorable nod to Counter-Strike history.

How Rare Is the AUG | Radiation Hazard?

The AUG | Radiation Hazard in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as an Industrial Grade (light blue) skin, making it less rare compared to high-tier finishes. The CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Radiation Hazard is exclusively available from the Nuke Collection, notably found in the Nuke Souvenir Packages. Although it is not the rarest skin, its specific drop source makes it less accessible than case-based skins. The rarity of AUG | Radiation Hazard arises mainly from its limited removal from active drop pools following changes in the map collection and the shift to CS2. Probability of unboxing one, especially a Souvenir AUG | Radiation Hazard, is quite low and depends on opening corresponding souvenir packages during major tournaments. The skin is highly popular as a staple entry-level collectible, especially among Nuke enthusiasts.

AUG | Radiation Hazard Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The AUG | Radiation Hazard features a striking orange and red hazardous chemical motif, complete with biohazard signs and faded industrial textures.

The appearance remains generally consistent due to the fixed layout, but higher float values introduce increased wear and fading.

Effect of float
The AUG | Radiation Hazard float value varies from 0.06 to 0.80, allowing the skin to be dropped in all conditions. Lower floats result in vibrant colors and clear hazard symbols, while higher floats lead to significant scratches, fading, and dullness.

AUG | Radiation Hazard Field Tested: Float 0.21 - 0.38; visible scratches, faded icons, but still recognizable and affordable for budget collectors.
AUG | Radiation Hazard well worn: Float 0.38 - 0.45; significant abrasions, dull colors, and more fading, resulting in lower prices.
AUG | Radiation Hazard Battle Scarred: Float 0.45 - 0.80; extensive wear, heavily faded symbols, and a rugged look; typically the most affordable.
