The History of the AUG | Death by Puppy in CS2 (CS:GO)

The AUG | Death by Puppy in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by the talented community artist Mia, whose portfolio is well-known for its whimsical and expressive artwork. This skin was introduced as part of the Prisma 2 Case, released on March 31, 2020. It stood out immediately due to its unique hand-drawn design featuring a pack of lively puppies, making it one of the more memorable AUG skins upon release.

The CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Death by Puppy gained traction during several CS:GO Majors, where players and fans alike took note of its bold visual style on the competitive stage. The skin experienced waves of community hype during promotional events and case openings, especially as creators showcased the skin in videos, accelerating its rise to fame.

With the transition from CS:GO to Counter-Strike 2, its faithful recreation in the improved Source 2 engine allowed the vibrant design and color scheme to shine even more, enhancing its appeal. As a result, the skin remains a community favorite and enjoys substantial popularity in CS2 among players who appreciate creativity and individuality in their loadout choices.

How Rare Is the AUG | Death by Puppy?

The AUG | Death by Puppy in CS2 (CS:GO) is a Classified Rifle skin, which makes it a mid-high tier rarity item. It is exclusively available from the Prisma 2 Case, and as such, it cannot be acquired through active drop pools outside this container. The CS2 (CS:GO) AUG | Death by Puppy does not appear in Souvenir packages, and its classified rarity gives it an estimated unboxing probability of less than 3%.

With its eye-catching design and solid in-game presence, this skin enjoys above-average popularity. Since the Prisma 2 Case remains available, the supply is relatively stable, but the Rarity of AUG | Death by Puppy means it is still less common than many lower-tier AUG skins. There are no Souvenir odds for this item as there is no official Souvenir version, but StatTrak™ variants exist for collectors. Its uniqueness and reputation contribute to its steady demand within the CS2 marketplace.

AUG | Death by Puppy Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The AUG | Death by Puppy finish is instantly recognizable thanks to its playful collage of puppies drawn in a pen-and-marker style with bold outlines set against a multicolored teal and pink background. The overall effect is whimsical, eye-catching, and fun.

Effect of float
The AUG | Death by Puppy float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.72, making it available in all wear levels. Lower float values result in fewer scratches, maintaining the crispness of the artwork, while higher floats show more visible wear around the edges and on flat surfaces.

Skin Features
The skin is classified rarity and available in both regular and StatTrak™ versions, both of which are highly desirable.
