The History of the AK-47 | The Outsiders in CS2 (CS:GO)

The AK-47 | The Outsiders in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed as part of the commemorative collection for the IEM Rio Major 2022, released to celebrate the Outsiders' triumphant victory at the event. The skin's artwork was conceptualized to reflect the team's unique spirit, combining sleek metallic grays with orange and deep navy accents inspired by the Outsiders' branding. Upon its release in 2022, the CS2 (CS:GO) AK-47 | The Outsiders generated significant buzz within the community, especially as it became available in the Rio 2022 Major sticker capsule-themed packages. The hype grew as several professional players showcased the skin in live tournaments, further increasing its desirability. During the post-Major period, the community actively traded and sought after the skin, cementing its significance in the Counter-Strike ecosystem. With the transition from CS:GO to CS2, the skin retained its popularity due to its strong legacy and visually arresting design, maintaining a loyal following among both casual players and top esports professionals. Its backstory tied to championship glory ensures it continues to be a piece symbolic of competitive greatness.

How Rare Is the AK-47 | The Outsiders?

The AK-47 | The Outsiders in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as a Classified (Pink) grade skin, making it rare and harder to obtain compared to lower-tier finishes. CS2 (CS:GO) AK-47 | The Outsiders can be found in the Rio 2022 Major Champion sticker capsule-based packages, specifically released in conjunction with the event. The rarity of AK-47 | The Outsiders is due to its limited drop pool, as it was only available during the period when Rio Major souvenir packages were in circulation; since then, it has been removed from most drop rotations, enhancing its exclusivity. Unboxing odds remain low—just like any other Classified skin—making it a challenging acquisition, especially for those seeking a pristine condition or unique float values. There is no Souvenir version for AK-47 | The Outsiders, so odds for souvenir unboxing do not apply. Its attractive design and competitive significance have kept its popularity high, and its market presence is strong yet exclusive due to its limited introduction window.

AK-47 | The Outsiders Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The AK-47 | The Outsiders finish features vibrant team-inspired graphics with a metallic base, accented by orange and dark blue tones. The pattern showcases dynamic design elements and Outsiders branding, making it instantly recognizable.

Pattern difference
Unlike some AK-47 skins, the Outsiders pattern doesn't significantly vary between individual drops, so each skin looks similar regardless of pattern index.

Effect of float
AK-47 | The Outsiders float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.80, making it available in every wear level: AK-47 | The Outsiders Factory New, AK-47 | The Outsiders Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. The AK-47 | The Outsiders float value impacts the visual wear seen on the skin—higher floats result in more visible scratches and faded colors.

Skin Features
The finish is known for its deep color palette and prominent team logos, making it highly recognizable in-game.

AK-47 | The Outsiders Factory New
Factory New (0.00–0.07 float) offers the cleanest look, with no scratches or visible wear. This tier commands the highest prices due to pristine graphics and desirability among collectors.

AK-47 | The Outsiders Minimal Wear
Minimal Wear (0.07–0.15 float) retains vibrant colors, with only minor, almost unnoticeable abrasions. It is more affordable than Factory New and still very attractive visually.

AK-47 | The Outsiders Field-Tested
Field-Tested (0.15–0.38 float) shows slightly more wear, with subtle scratches along the edges—still popular for its balanced look and lower price, making it a common choice among players.

AK-47 | The Outsiders Well-Worn
Well-Worn (0.38–0.45 float) displays clear abrasions and a more faded finish, catering to those who like a battle-hardened look at significantly lower prices.

AK-47 | The Outsiders Battle-Scarred
Battle-Scarred (0.45–0.80 float) exhibits heavy wear, with substantial fading and scratches, yet the base design remains visible. This is the most budget-friendly option.

AK-47 | The Outsiders StatTrak
All wear levels are also available in the AK-47 | The Outsiders StatTrak version, which tracks kills and usually carries a premium price. StatTrak combined with Factory New or desirable floats is especially scarce and expensive.

Overall, the AK-47 | The Outsiders finish appeals to a wide range of players, with prices and desirability closely tied to wear level and special features like StatTrak.
