The History of the AK-47 | The Empress in CS2 (CS:GO)

The AK-47 | The Empress in CS2 (CS:GO) was crafted by the renowned artist 2Minds and added to the game on September 14, 2017, as a part of the Spectrum 2 Collection. Inspired by the artwork of tarot cards, specifically the Empress card, its vibrant design immediately set it apart from other AK-47 finishes. The CS2 (CS:GO) AK-47 | The Empress quickly gained traction for its unique style and symbolism, earning respect in the community and among traders.

During the peak of CS:GO Majors, the Empress rose to fame as many pro players showcased it on their streams and official matches, fueling a surge in hype and demand. Collector interest spiked as top-tier players and content creators began spotlighting the skin, cementing its reputation as a premier inventory piece.

Following the transition to CS2, its popularity persisted due to both nostalgia and its continued visual appeal. The skin maintains a strong presence in professional play and community showcases, remaining one of the most sought-after AK-47 finishes by players reliving the days of CS:GO and embracing the future with CS2.

How Rare Is the AK-47 | The Empress?

The AK-47 | The Empress in CS2 (CS:GO) is a Covert weapon skin—one of the rarest grades available. The CS2 (CS:GO) AK-47 | The Empress can be unboxed exclusively from the Spectrum 2 Case. The rarity of AK-47 | The Empress means the chance of unboxing it is around 0.64%, making it extremely challenging to obtain directly from cases. There is no Souvenir version available, which keeps the supply limited and the demand high.

Its immense popularity among players, coupled with its omission from drop pools outside the Spectrum 2 Case, ensures that prices remain elevated. Because this skin is not part of regular in-game drops, its supply will only decrease over time, solidifying its place as a top-tier collector's item and a prestigious in-game statement.

AK-47 | The Empress Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description: The AK-47 | The Empress finish features ornate, tarot-inspired artwork with radiant gold, red, and blue hues, vividly depicting the Empress card. The pattern is fixed, which means all versions of this skin look the same regardless of the pattern index.

Effect of float: The AK-47 | The Empress float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, making it available in all wear levels. The skin exhibits a gradual loss of paint and sharpness with increasing float values; higher floats create more visible scratches and fading, especially around the receiver and handguard.

AK-47 | The Empress Factory New: With a float close to 0.00, these versions boast a pristine, unblemished appearance. The gold and red details appear sharp and bright, resulting in the highest value among all conditions. Factory New is the preferred choice for collectors and display.

AK-47 | The Empress Minimal Wear: These have subtle wear on edges, but colors remain vibrant and details mostly intact. Minimal wear options are a favorite for those seeking near-perfect aesthetics at a more affordable price than Factory New.

AK-47 | The Empress Field Tested: Noticeable wear appears, especially on corners and high-contact areas, though the main artwork is visible. It's a budget-friendly choice, trading slight visual degradation for significant price savings.

AK-47 | The Empress Well Worn: Significant fading and scratches are evident, especially on the receiver. The image detail is reduced but still recognizable. These appeal to players looking for a battle-scarred look without the lowest quality.

AK-47 | The Empress Battle Scarred: With a float near 1.00, these versions have extensive fading and worn-out graphics. The main design is visible but heavily distressed; this condition is the least expensive and is chosen for its rugged appearance.

AK-47 | The Empress StatTrak™: Every wear level is also available with AK-47 | The Empress StatTrak, which counts kills, increasing value and collectibility. StatTrak versions, especially in Factory New and Minimal Wear, are significantly rarer and command premium prices among traders and collectors.

Skin features: High-detail artwork, signature tarot theme, and the ability to obtain StatTrak versions make AK-47 | The Empress finish a standout centerpiece for any CS2 inventory.

AK-47 | The Empress Price & Market Value

AK-47 | The Empress price varies widely depending on condition and special features.
