The History of the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis in CS2 (CS:GO)

The AK-47 | Legion of Anubis in CS2 (CS:GO) was designed by vaporice and debuted in August 2020 as part of the Fracture Case update. Its artwork is heavily inspired by the mythology of Ancient Egypt, specifically depicting Anubis, the god of the afterlife, with ornate gold and blue patterns dominating the rifle\'s design.

Upon release, the skin quickly captured the community\'s attention due to its unique thematic approach and detailed finish. Its rise to fame coincided with prominent appearances in notable tournaments and CS:GO Majors, where several pro players showcased it during high-stakes matches, fueling a surge in popularity and demand.

The hype was particularly strong during 2020 and early 2021, supported by big-name streamers and skin collectors featuring the weapon in showcases and gameplay highlights. As Counter-Strike transitioned to CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) AK-47 | Legion of Anubis retained its fame, even gaining renewed interest thanks to updated lighting and graphical upgrades in the new engine. Today, this skin is still celebrated for its historical significance, bold design, and status within the Counter-Strike skin community.

How Rare Is the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis?

The rarity of AK-47 | Legion of Anubis in CS2 (CS:GO) is classified as Classified (pink), making it a relatively rare find compared to lower-tier skins. CS2 (CS:GO) AK-47 | Legion of Anubis is available exclusively from the Fracture Case and Shattered Web Case, both of which are popular yet limited in supply.

Although it hasn\'t been removed from the drop pool, increasing case prices affect the overall market supply. The drop chance for Classified skins in standard cases is reported to be about 3.2%. There is no Souvenir version available for this skin, so its odds revolve solely around case openings with no tournament-specific variants.

Rising demand and limited availability in newer cases have given the Legion of Anubis a strong popularity score, often placing it among the top desired AK-47 skins. Its impressive looks and moderate rarity establish it as a favorite for players and skin enthusiasts alike.

Effect of Float
The AK-47 | Legion of Anubis float value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, making it available in all conditions: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. As float increases, visible wear appears on the weapon, especially on the magazine, handguard, and barrel.

Wear Levels Explained
AK-47 | Legion of Anubis Factory New: This version boasts pristine, vibrant colors with all intricate design elements intact. Factory New typically commands a premium price, particularly with a low float value and StatTrak™ editions.

AK-47 | Legion of Anubis Minimal Wear: Minimal wear retains most of its original finish; however, slight abrasions become visible on the handguard and magazine. Minimal Wear offers a balanced option between price and appearance.

AK-47 | Legion of Anubis Field-Tested: This variant shows moderate abrasion and fading but still preserves the main design. It's a popular choice for those looking for a budget alternative.

AK-47 | Legion of Anubis Well-Worn: The Well-Worn condition introduces heavier wear, dulling the gold and turquoise hues and creating more pronounced scratches throughout the skin. It is significantly less expensive but highly used.

AK-47 | Legion of Anubis Battle-Scarred: This state features serious fading and visible scratches, causing a dramatic loss in visual detail, especially in the gold areas. Battle-Scarred versions are the least costly but appeal to few collectors.

AK-47 | Legion of Anubis StatTrak™: The StatTrak™ models are available for every wear level and count tracked kills. These are always pricier due to their premium utility and exclusivity, often in high demand for competitive players.

Skin Features
The finish, colors, and elaborate Egyptian art make the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis finish popular across all wear levels. The float value significantly impacts both aesthetics and price for each variant.
