The History of the P2000 | Marsh in CS2 (CS:GO)

The P2000 | Marsh in CS2 (CS:GO) was introduced as part of the Operation Wildfire update, which debuted on February 17, 2016. Designed by Valve’s in-house art team, the skin showcases a naturalistic camouflage finish, evoking the look of wetlands and marshes. Its muted color palette has resonated with both new and experienced players seeking military-style weapon cosmetics.

The skin gained more attention during several CS:GO Majors, where professional players occasionally showcased the P2000 | Marsh in high-profile matches. While it never reached the fame of ultra-rare pistol skins, it nonetheless developed a loyal following due to its accessibility and practical look. During certain periods, community hype increased, especially among those who preferred more realistic gun appearances over vibrant, flashy finishes.

With the transition from CS:GO to CS2, the CS2 (CS:GO) P2000 | Marsh retained its popularity thanks to its consistent availability and the fact that many players use the P2000 as their default CT sidearm. Today, it remains a staple in both casual and competitive play, cherished for its subdued style and long-standing community support.

How Rare Is the P2000 | Marsh?

When discussing the rarity of P2000 | Marsh in CS2 (CS:GO), it is classified as an Industrial Grade (light blue) skin, making it one of the more common pistol skins. The CS2 (CS:GO) P2000 | Marsh is available as a drop in The Wildfire Case, released during Operation Wildfire. Unlike rare covert or classified skins, the rarity of P2000 | Marsh means it's frequently unboxed and found in trade-up contracts. It has never been removed from the drop pool, ensuring solid supply on the Steam Market and third-party trading sites.

While there is no Souvenir version of the P2000 | Marsh, its commonality keeps its market price low and accessible for all players. The probability of unboxing a P2000 | Marsh is significantly higher than more exclusive pistol skins, aligning with the typical odds for Industrial Grade items. Its constant presence and modest price point have contributed to its steady popularity, especially among newer players and budget-conscious collectors.

P2000 | Marsh Wear Levels and Conditions

Pattern description
The P2000 | Marsh finish features a camouflage pattern of green and brown, mimicking marsh vegetation and swampy terrain, making it a great fit for fans of nature-inspired designs. The pattern remains generally consistent, with only slight variations across different pattern indexes.

Effect of float
The P2000 | Marsh float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, so the skin is available in all standard conditions. Increased float results in more visible scratches, especially on the slide and grip area.

Skin Wear Levels Explained
P2000 | Marsh Factory New: This variant displays minimal to no wear, preserving the full clarity of its camouflage. It fetches the highest price, offering pristine visuals for collectors.
P2000 | Marsh Minimal Wear: Just a few subtle scratches, mostly under close inspection. This condition is more affordable than Factory New but still retains the skin’s crisp look.
P2000 | Marsh Field Tested: Noticeable wear and scratches begin to appear, especially near frequent contact points. The pattern becomes more faded but remains attractive for casual users.
P2000 | Marsh Well Worn: The skin displays heavy abrasions, and the finish looks significantly worn, often preferred by those who like a battle-hardened look.
P2000 | Marsh Battle-Scarred: This level features the highest degree of fading and scratches, with the base metal showing through in some spots. It is usually the most affordable option.
P2000 | Marsh StatTrak™: All wear levels are available in StatTrak™ versions, featuring a kill counter. StatTrak™ variants often command a slightly higher price due to their unique tracking capability.

The P2000 | Marsh float value and finish integrity directly affect pricing, with Factory New commanding premiums, while P2000 | Marsh Battle-Scarred is affordable for budget collectors. StatTrak™ models add rarity and increased desirability to each condition.
